Observations of life through the eyes of a no name artist.

Today I was taking a shower and I got some soap in my eye. After I washed it out I had the odd idea of pretending to be blind while I finished my shower (I know I know why do all my ideas come from showering?....). All kinds of hygiene issues went through my mind as I tried it. Conclusion? I'm really glad I can see:)

I finally got a replacement external casing for my external drive. I know its not much, but I always get excited when I can do something with my computer and not have to ask one of my brothers for help. I was very happy with myself after transporting the drive to its new case. It was like the time I upgraded the RAM on my mac. Its the small things in life that I enjoy.

Today I spent the whole freaking day in the paper mill. I make pulp from silk which is looking super neato, I can't wait to make sheets from it. Then in class we made Japanese paper which really hurts my back. I can't imagine doing that for a living. Today is also my little bro's birthday. He's 16, what a scary age. Anyway I'm way too tired to make keen observations on life today. Wow I said "today" four times in this paragraph. That's bad form....

Ever since I got my hair cut I complete showers in record time. That pretty much sucks because I used to enjoy just spacing out in the shower, it reminds me when I was little and would sit in the bottom of the shower and pretend it was raining (hey I live in Arizona, I forget what rain is like sometimes) while belting out show tunes from Annie. For the past week I've rekindled my childhood. Its pretty nice because I have my our bathroom now that I don't share with siblings or my mother or whatever, so I just sit in the hugh bottom of the shower and think. Thinking usually morphs into wanting to just curl up and fall asleep in my personal rain shower, of course that's when I snap out of it and get out. Last thing I need is to drown in my shower for using it as a therapeutic bath. It sounds vaguely like a Darwin award.

Guess which artist this is a parody of and you win a cookie*.

*no not really, but I can email you a cookie
I don't know what it is with me and teachers, but it seems project concepts I create and have luke warm feelings for are masterpieces and projects I'm psyched about they don't seem to pay attention to. My current concept for a video piece is titled "The Education of Narcissus". I want to do this cute stop animation with one of those wooden drawing figures. It sounded challenging and interesting, but my class looked like they were falling asleep. Of course my papermaking class made everything better when I got to beat the hell out of gampi fibers for 30 minutes.
Hello all. I normally write my rantings about life on post-it notes and McDonalds napkins, but I'm a high tech girl so I have decided to upgrade to the overly used format of blogging.
